Quality Systems Engineer – Gilbert

The Quality Systems Engineer would be responsible for leading Footprint efforts to establish World Class Quality systems. They will be required to developing new systems that analyze the data generated in manufacturing and other data rich sources to make prompt decisions, thus contributing to the creation and execution of Footprint’s World Class Manufacturing vision. They will develop systems for new product launches, ensure proper process documentation, training and execution. They will own the team responsible for Document Control and support execution of Footprint GFSI, ISO and other certifications. The ideal person has excellent communication with all sites and both with internal and external customers. This role would require upwards of 10-25% travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop quality systems in alignment to the World Class Manufacturing efforts in Footprint factories.
  • Lead the periodic review of all quality, process procedures, and instructions as well as support the review of execution at each site
  • Support the Footprint Quality and Food Safety culture and systems via ISO9001, Document Control, FP Process Systems, HACCP program, and GFSI standards.
  • Lead Document Control for Company – design and standardize structure of the system for new production business.
  • Support the internal audit program across all sites, supplier audits, SQF audits.
  • Execute, Lead, and support Process improvement integration into the factories.
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements visual quality criteria
  • Communicate cross-functionally to assist the team to solve operational issues
  • Ability to Provide support to factory for quality and basic statistics training.


  • Bachelor Degree preferably in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Statistics or related major.
  • Understanding of quality, OSHA and food safety requirements in a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of basic statistics concepts and ability to teach these concepts to others.

  • Must have experience with one of the GFSI schematics (FSSC 22000, BRC, GFS, GRMS, etc.) and or ISO systems preferably 9001.
