Process Engineering Manager – Piekary Slaskie

As a Process Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision of the support of plant operations by establishing, providing and maintaining the process engineering, technical and tooling functions and ensure that robust manufacturing processes are achieved to meet the plant’s productivity, delivery, quality and safety objectives. In this challenging position you can build your own team of professionals, ensuring a further professionalization of our plant operations. You will report to the Site Director of the Polish manufacturing site in Piekary Śląskie.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Build a “World Class Manufacturing” environment based on principles such as 5S, JIT, TPM-OEE, Quality and Food-Safety and Industry 4.0 principles.
  • Establish a professional and motivated team of process engineers
  • Plan, coordinate, administer and manage the activities of the manufacturing process engineering and tooling functions.
  • Supervise all process engineering, technical and tooling employees in an inspiring way.
  • Participate in solving quality problems involving production and equipment, and drive improvement and process changes that improve cost and efficiency.
  • Assure sound engineering and validation principals are applied to process design.
  • Develop, establish, and ensure appropriate departmental standards, methods, policies, procedures, and documentation are in place and maintained.
  • Analyze and improve workforce utilization, staffing requirements (both current and future), workflow and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Organize departmental structure by assigning responsibilities, delegating authority, recruiting and selection, orienting, and training employees.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on issues like cost projections and reduction, as well as run times.
  • Support Footprint’s strategic plan by meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual goals and objectives, including all KPIs and KPMs pertaining to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment.
  • Be one of the ambassadors of establishing the Footprint culture.


  • About 10 years minimum of experience in a smart manufacturing environment
  • Experience in managing and coaching of successful engineering teams
  • Master’s degree in engineering (Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Automation or similar).
  • Fluent in English .
  • Lean six sigma black belt (preferred) or minimum accredited green belt.
  • Enthusiastic and engaging, highly effective communicator and team-player.
  • Analytical with good problem solving and project management skills.
  • Practical experience with strong technical abilities in areas such as theory/functionality of manufacturing systems and unit operations, continuous improvement techniques, statistics and analytical methods, process measurement and control.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite, Autocad and Microsoft Project.
  • Having experience in a Food safety driven organization (HACCP/BRC) is a plus.
  • Regular international travel (including USA/Mexico) will be required.
